About Candela

Candela is a permanent video projection art project of candle with flickering flame by Andrew Ratcliff in Long Island City, NY and was made possible by the support of Plaxall, Inc.

LIC is in the New York City borough of Queens and Candela can be seen from the park bordering Anable Basin, just north of the iconic Pepsi sign. You can see the Candela projection every evening until 1AM.

A video of a flickering candle flame is projected onto a 50' tower. Candela lights every night from sundown to 1AM.
